Happy World Oceans Day! World Oceans Day takes place every year on June 8th to celebrate the importance of our oceans and the important roles they play in our everyday lives. Our oceans are gigantic and full of amazing sea life! Our oceans cover 70% of the Earth’s surface and are home to the majority of plants and animals on Earth! How crazy is that?

World Oceans Day is also a day to remind others that our oceans need to be protected. It is our job to keep our oceans clean so we can enjoy them for years to come without destroying precious sea life. You can do your part by picking up waste when you are at the beach and by making sure to clean up after yourself when enjoying a day at the beach.
